Here's this character again, he wanders around these acoustical recordings, popping up now and then like a bad nickel.

The sound from this disc, Henry Thies' third recording from June, 1921, nearly rattled the pictures off the wall! This seems like an anomaly in pressings--it's noticably thicker, thus heavier, than the average Vocalion of the period (1921) and a slight but noticable bit larger in circumferance on the turntable. I don't know if the thickness relates to its louder sound, but it was a surprise when I played it!
