"This Compost" is a lesser known poem by Walt Whitman spoken by Bob Lorenzi (former literature professor at Camden County College). The music was initially used as an example of basic 12-tone ideas for a Music Appreciation class I was teaching. One semester, I decided to cut up the poem a bit, add the music and marry these two with these beautiful time lapse videos from YouTube. This process largely inspired how I handled the rest of the album as well. Please see above for information regarding original video footage because each deserves its own singular attention.
