The Quest / For Every Mountain - Ithacappella & Namarah - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 11, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
As musicians, we learn how to tell stories: stories of joy and sorrow, of despair and of hope. As a cappella musicians especially, uniting our voices in one song is an intentional action. We choose to put all things aside and create something beautiful together; something so beautiful it's impossible to do alone.

Last year, an important story unfolded on our campus that gained massive media attention. We could not ignore this story when we had the platform of our Block Concerts to be able to say something. To do so would have encouraged ignorance in our community. That's why at our Block 2 show, we brought up our dear friend and musician Namarah for our song "The Quest / For Every Mountain" to help us deliver a message of hope and solidarity in the best way we thought possible.

This story and struggle still continues today. In this trying time following the election when people are afraid and uncertain about the future of this country, we choose to use our voices, united in this song, to provide a blanket of comfort and a deliver a message of hope, unity and solidarity.
