The Seals - Drink It Down - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 15, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
The Seals' debut video release "Drink it Down". Featuring Richard Cilli.

Drink It Down was recorded in the majestic surrounds of Rada Studios in Leederville, WA and marks a welcome departure from the quintessential Seals' race-to-the-finish style, introducing a relieving trickle of musicianship into the harsh wasteland of their conventional songwriting. But fans of previous Seals' releases need fear not as the new single retains some of the band's time-honoured trademarks in the form of entrancing 5 part male vocal harmonies under the influence of bluegrass and old time music, all of which is perceived through the filter of contemporary, western suburbs Perth.

Visually, the concept for the music video came into being when the band enlisted world-renowned contemporary dancer Richard Cilli (Sydney Dance Company, Hawaiian and Ausdance award winner) as creative consultant and visual stylist.

The result speaks for itself -- a unique combination of haunting melody, driving rhythm and melancholic harmony blended with the best in Australian contemporary dance.
