DESCRIPTION:
An Egyptian composer, musical director, singer, and Oud player, Ahmad El-Sawy has almost two decades of musical experience with oriental sounds and modern arrangements.

Since the early 90's, El-Sawy has been exploring the endless possibilities of Arabic music. He was inspired by Sufi music and the different Egyptian styles of chants, reaching beyond his country borders, to become one of the established Egyptian musicians in Europe.

In 2008, El-Sawy released his first solo album entitled ZAD, using some of the finest poems in the history of Arabic poetry. In the eight tracks included in ZAD, El-Sawy demonstrated his vision about modernizing Arabic music, creating a unique blend of sounds and arrangements.
