Description:
Col is what people call me when they know me really well. COL is a 65 minute psychedelic concept record. COL is the 3rd and last part of a trilogy I started some 5 years ago. Along with Infinite Ease and Good God, these records were designed to showcase my mellower pop, jam band, yacht rock side. Now, COL takes it one step further. I made this record for me. It resembles some of my favorite records growing up like Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland, The Beatles' White Album, Beastie Boys' Check Your Head, Ween's Chocolate and Cheese, or Living Colour's Times Up -- records with multiple genres, real epic journeys, schizophrenic rides. From pop to country to noise to psych to oldies and even a little rapping, we do everything that makes up Col the man on COL the album.

Press Quotes:
"It's country alright, but country by way of Neil Young and Southern rock, with moments that recall the psychedelic Americana of Grateful Dead, the desert blues of Giant Sand, and the alt.country sounds of the 1990s." — Tiny Mix Tapes

"A chill record, made by guitarist hero Colin Langenus for helping people to chill out. Shimmering cosmic country that allows the notion of the jam band a shred of decency and hope." — Boston Hassle

"There's no keeping up with Colin Langenus these days. Ever since The USA Is A Monster, America s premier prog-noise outfit for most of the last decade, called it a day in 2009, the burly singer-songwriter and guitarist has been hurtling through the murky ether of his raw creativity at warp speed." — Village Voice

"Colin Langenus, a former member of local prog-punk favorites the USA Is a Monster, tops tonight's Spy Fest bill with his dreamy, jammy eponymous ensemble." — Time Out New York

"The versatile Langenus is a radical guitar player, biting social satirist, snotty hardcore screamer, and believe it or not a gifted country pop tunesmith." — Foxy Digitalis
