In April of 2010, So Percussion was a featured guest on Making Music, a conversation series at the Whole Music Club. So Percussion was in town from NYC to perform at the International Marimba Festival at The Southern Theater. They talked in depth about working with artists like Steve Reich and Matmos, as well as performing live and giving demonstrations of techniques, composition, and the myriad of instruments they perform on. Later that week, they premiered a new Steve Reich piece for 5-octave marimbas.
