By Steve Reich. To all music nerds and those trying to follow along with a score, we did the phase in reverse for the sake of simplicity. Do not be alarmed.

Clapping Music is a piece mesmerizing in its simplicity of concept. Listen as every sixth time through the 12-beat pattern, Jordy starts one beat later, sending the patterns further and further out of sync until they eventually rejoin one another. This is a form of Phasing, the technique so frequently employed in Reich's early works.

Filmed on a Canon T3i with a 50 mm. lens and recorded with a Zoom H2.
