DESCRIPTION:
Chrome and Illinspired are an original B-Boy/MC/DJ/Beat digging Hip Hop duo who have been performing and promoting local jams together for the last twelve years.
MC/DJ Chrome is from Long term Norwich Hip Hop group "Def Tex" who have released two albums and numerous singles to critical a claim on Son Records since 1997 and had a few singles on Soundclash records previous to that. Chrome has also released two solo albums on his own label (Homework) the first of which came out in 2005. Chrome has been an inaugural part of the UK scene for over twenty five years, touted as one the UKs finest to ever do it and continues to make quality music to this day.
MC/DJ Illinspired is front man from the alternative Hip Hop band "Scare the Normals" who hail from the small town of Bury St Edmunds. With one release under their belt and an intense live show, these lads and there wall of sound are destined for big things. Illinspired is also the man you will see hosting most local events,"Rasploitation sessions" in Ipswich with "Truth"(MC battle champ),"Sureshot promotions" and "Roots n Culture" in Norwich to name but a few, he also hosted the "Dedbeat Weekender" in 2002 and Eastern Haze festival Hip Hop tent in 2007 .An MC and DJ for nearly twenty years he has featured on numerous projects, including a vinyl release from "Mantis Chapter" in 2008, tracks with "ChronicRedeye, Ransom, Mike Stone, The Criminal minds, Killa Instinct and verses on Chromes solo albums.
Chrome and Illinspired have been working as a duo since 2005. They have performed all over the UK, Germany and Switzerland, ripping up stages with their high energy but raw live show. All of which culminated in a link with Monkey Dan and his Hamburg label "Naked Ape records" home of UK legends "KIlla Instinct". After touring Germany with KIlla and headlining annual britcore event "Mass Hysteria" in 2009, Chrome and Illinspired released "Out of sight" the mixtape/album in 2010 and became part of the "Naked Ape family". An intense mix of fast rap, scratching, heavy beats and funk with loads of B-Boy flavour, if you love real Hip Hop, you need look no further.
