Topping is a method of pruning chilli and pepper plants to grow stronger plants with larger yields. FIMing (F*** I Missed) is a similar technique which was developed in the drug growing industry accidentally, while topping plants. FIMing is essentially cutting higher than where you would cut if you were topping, this leave more nodal points where new stems will shoot out. Topping chillies and Topping Pepper plants should only be done if you started your plants nice and early, and chilli and pepper plants require quite a bit of time to grow, and you might just prune them too late, not leaving them enough time to flower and fruit.
