JO�LLE ESSO
est Camerounaise. Peintre, com�dienne, danseuse, illustratrice, chanteuse, auteur-compositeur. Elle a compos� la musique du film �Les Saignantes� de Jean-Pierre Bekolo Obama pass� dans plusieurs festivals de cin�ma, sorti dans les salles en France en 2009 et nomin� pour le C�sar du Meilleur Film Francophone 2010. Son autre passion, le dessin, lui a valu d'illustrer six livres de 2006 � 2009. Sa premi�re BD, PETIT JOSS, attendue par des milliers de fans, vient de para�tre aux Editions DAGAN.
Sortie de son deuxi�me album CD "HANIBAL@POUCHKINE" actuellement disponible. Elle rend hommage dans cette cr�ation musicale in�dite, � Pouchkine (1799-1837) et � son arri�re grand-p�re africain, le g�n�ral en chef de l’arm�e imp�riale russe, Abraham P�trovitch Hanibal (1696-1781).
Une invitation � la d�couverte du patrimoine musical Kotoko du Cameroun, de Logone, (cit� fortifi�e o� naquit Hanibal en 1696) – de La F�re (France, ville o� Hanibal re�ut son dipl�me d’ing�nieur militaire en 1723) – et de Souyda (Russie, village o� mourut Hanibal en 1781).
Jo�lle Esso is a Cameroonnian painter, comedian, dancer, illustrator,composer, backing and solo singer. She composed the music of the feature film Les Saignantes (the Bloodettes) by Jean-Pierre Bekolo Obama in 2005. She sang in the documentary Plume (Feather, Fly Times Pictures, 2006) for the Primary Arts Museum, Paris. She played a singer (with her own songs) in Jean Cocteau’s Le Bel Indiff�rent in 2006 at the Guichet Montparnasse theater, Paris. Her other passion, drawing, led her to illustrate six books between 2006 and 2009. Her first comic book, PETIT JOSS, is just published by DAGAN Publishing.
Release of her second album 'HANIBAL@POUCHKINE' now available, a tribute to Pushkin (1799-1837) and to his African grand grand father, general of the russian imperial army Abraham Petrovitch Hanibal (1696-1781). An invitation to discover the Kotoko (Cameroon) musical legacy, from Logon (fortificated city where Hanibal was born in 1696); La F�re (France, city where Hanibal received his military ingeneer grade in 1723), and Souyda (Russia, village where Hanibal died in 1781).
