Chickenbone John - new entry level 3 string guitars - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 29, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
I've decided to try and offer some cheaper models, but still retaining the playability and high standards of workmanship that I offer with all my guitars. So things are a little simpler...open back decent quality machineheads, one piece neck, plain wooden box, just a volume control - no tone control, no separate end mounted jack plate. Here we have two alternatives - fretted and fretless, same pickup, mounted in different positions - the fretted guitar is a bit more aggressive sounding with the pickup closer to the bridge, the fretless has a more mellow sound, well suited to that cool, fuzzy tone you get when playing with your fingers (instead of a slide) on the plain fingerboard.
