PUBLISHED:  May 02, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
Taken from Reverb 2015
14 March 2015 @ University Cultural Centre Theatre
Composed by: Robert Casteels
Soloist: Tolgahan Çoğulu
Description:
This solo guitar piece was composed by Dr Casteels for his friend Didier Ballenghien. The first and third part are based on a warm melody with microtones surrounded by light touches of colour. The central part is fast, light hearted and mischievous. The title Khi refers to capital letter χ in the Greek alphabet, that is the first letter of the word chiasma meaning “crossing“. In rhetoric, chiasmus is a figure of speech in which structures are reversed. (*Links to his channel below!*)
