Cartolas

Rock is rock indeed! And when it concerns "Cartolas" it means to rock and roll.It is rock taken by kids who not only enjoy but respect the seminal past of this style without sounding outmoded. In 2005 they won the "Claro que é rock" festival (which could be translated as "absolutely rock & roll").There were 2.500 bands enrolled.Due to that prize their first CD "Original de Fábrica" was released in 2007.
Cartolas rock is vigourosly joyous and it has the capability of mixing Interpol/Kinks/Strokes/Who or Supergrass/Aerosmith in a sequence of tracks.Moreover,they do that preserving the rare gift of sounding at once pop,melodic and palatable to the ones who simply enjoy music.
Three years later they release their second album:"Quase Certeza Absoluta",recorded in Porto Alegre ,produced by Ray Z,which is available at stores under the label "ANTÍDOTO"-ACIT Records. Their single "Partido em Franja" is a hit on the radio at present times.
"Cartolas" perform energetic rock & roll emphasizing lyrics and choruses which guarantees a legion of fans that tends to increase in 2010.The set list of the "Quase Certeza Tour" includes previous hits such as "Sujeito Boa Praça", "Cara de Vilão" and "Que Diabos Tu Tens Dentro da Cabeça" and the new ones "Partido em Franja", "Meu Bem e o Assovio" and "Quanta Besteira".
The Cartolas are Dé Silveira (guitar), Luciano Preza (vocal),Otávio Silveira (bass), Pedro Petracco (drums) and Cristiano Todt (guitar). Rock & roll satisfaction on any stage and occasion.
