Carter USM - This Is How It Feels Live at the Brixton Academy 1991 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 17, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
This is Les Fruitbat Carter and Jim Bob Morrison.... otherwise known as Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine playing This Is How It Feels - the Inspiral Carpets cover - at their Brixton Academy 1991 gig. This is official (non mobile phone their weren't any then, or if they were they were too big and incapable of taking footage) footage of the gruesome twosome in their heyday.
Starting off as Jamie Wednesday... they made their name with a distinctive style of power pop, fusing samples, sequenced basses and drum machines with rock 'n' roll guitars and off-beat wordplay-loaded lyrics. They reached the height of their fame in 1991 and 92. Over the following years the band took on new members, topping out as a six-piece, but struggled to regain their earlier popularity. They initially split up in 1998 after releasing seven albums.
They have come together for one off gigs, the last being sell out gigs in London in November 2009, titled "The Drum Machine Years". Over the course of two nights the band played their first four albums in their entirety, plus encores.
Now the USMs are back for two concerts in November, 2011 at Brixton and Manchester, known as Norf and Sarf 2011. It'll be RUBBISH!

Husband don't know what he's done
Kids don't know what's wrong with mum
She can't say, they can't see, putting it down to another bad day
Daddy don't know what he's done
Kids don't know what's wrong with mum
SO THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE LONELY
THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE SMALL
THIS IS HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOUR WORLD MEANS NOTHING AT ALL
Black car drives through the town, some guy from the top estate
Left a note for a local girl, and yet he had it all on a plate
SO THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE LONELY
THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE SMALL
THIS IS HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOUR WORLD MEANS NOTHING AT ALL
Husband don't know what he's done
Kids don't know what's wrong with mum
She can't say, they can't see, putting it down to another bad day
SO THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE LONELY
THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE SMALL
THIS IS HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOUR WORLD MEANS NOTHING AT ALL
