" Blue Broussard Band Bio During the spring of 2007, with an introduction by mutual friends, Blue Broussard and Chris Foster started a new music project, the Blue Broussard Band. Blue, a singer and songwriter, had been flirting with his musical ability throughout his college days at Sam Houston State University. He played his guitar for fun and learned a lot of his favorite songs he previously had just listened to on the radio. Blue had always been the one singing along in his truck, but he now realized that this was something more. As his passion for music grew, he started venturing away from his favorites and writing some of his own tunes. His lyrics and newfound writing fueled the formation of his first band in Huntsville, Texas. The band started playing in the local 'college town' venues. Blue graduated, SHSU class of '05, and returned home to Beaumont to work in his family's business. On the weekends Blue was back to playing music again. Acoustic shows and songwriter showcases became favorites for him as he felt he was really developing a talent for writing. These shows were the prelude to the band. Chris played the drums in several bands before meeting Blue. Since the age of 12, he learned drums, keys and music in general. Chris formed his own rock, punk and blues bands and had been around the music scene. Through experimentation with recording, live sound and promoting concerts; Chris was drawn into the 'buzz' of the music industry. The two met for a writing session at Chris' home in Beaumont and immediately decided they had something to work with. They began to arrange Blue's songs, and in 2008 recorded their first album in Jacksonville, Florida. Twentyfour Music was formed to promote and release their "All Alone" album in January 2009. The album released three singles to radio, which subsequently all charted well on the Texas music charts. To support the release, the band toured Texas and Oklahoma, and marketed its self heavily to regional radio and social networking fans. The group also began the creative process of preparing material for a sophomore release. Blue and Chris brought on Omnisound Studios' Rory Rositas to engineer the new project. All of the songs were co written and produced by Blue and Chris. The first track, "Love Again Again", is a new version of a song that was on the "All Alone" disc. The lyrics are very truthful about the struggles of a relationship gone wrong. But the redo is more than a simple re-cut. There's a flip side to the new song that gives it a "happy upbeat feel" but still tells the same story. The result is a song that sticks in your head from the first time you hear it and it's sure to have dance floors jammed packed with partiers. The band's favorite song to play live is the "Teeshirt Song (Not Ready)". It has a rockin' guitar riff from the top and doesn't disappoint. It's about a couple falling in and out of love, their attempts to find new lives, and then realizing they made a mistake. This song is honest, real and fun to listen to. "Undercover Lovers" is sexy. The easy listening track is sure to please your ear. "It's that song that when it comes on the radio, you know everything's gonna be alright," says Blue. "It's a passionate song about two people meeting up and letting their feelings take control." The band also put some dancehall songs on the CD. "All Alone", "Dance Alone", "Thinking of You", and "What Our Eyes Have Already Done" are going to be bar room hits. You can't help but want to get out of your seat and hit the floor when they come on. "Eyes" as Chris and Blue refer to it as, is a very Conway Twitty or maybe Otis Redding kind of song. "When two people are attracted to each, you can see it in their eyes. This song is as direct as you can get," replies Chris. The album also includes two previously released singles that were radio hits for the BBB and one fun and silly novelty song With real and meaningful lyrics, grounded in traditional country, and a fresh new sound, the Blue Broussard Band is proud to bring you "their kind" of country music.
