This Blue Belly 16" archtop, affectionately dubbed "The Green Flame" ( serial # 0824 ) was hand crafted of solid maple in beautiful Bristol, VT in October of 2012. All of the maple used in this guitar was harvested and cured in Vermont. You won't find a single laminate on this gorgeous green monster. The body shape is reminiscent to that of an old Thinline but with a deeper back and top carve for better projection and volume. This makes for an extremely comfortable thinline ride and extra big archtop sound. This guitar has never been owned by anyone and has served as a demo guitar for Blue Belly so it shows only the wear you would find on an axe that's been to a handful of guitar shows. The two tone green nitro cellulose lacquer finish gives this beast instant sizzle appeal which is further enhanced by the dual flame F-holes.

The 3 piece maple neck ( 0.86" at 1st fret, 0.97" at 10th, 1.06" at 12th where the neck heel begins ) features a lovely chunky and rounded profile, a 1.75" bone nut, a bound ebony fretboard and mother of pearl dot inlays. You'll also notice that the slots in the bone nut are angled to help direct the string to the tuner with ease. This comes in handy and helps keep this monster in tune when you're wailing away on the Bigsby and rocking bar bridge.

The pickups Mr. Hyde Baker employed while building this killer were an excellent choice. The humbucker sized Vintage Vibe Charlie Chrisitian single coil has a ceramic magnet and, not surprisingly, gives you that classic tone - perfect for a woody blues / jazz sound. When you combine that with the Lollar'Tron in the bridge position things heat up pretty quick. On top of that, the pickups are wired in series so you can turn either of them completely off with their dedicated volume knobs. A master tone lets you shape the overall warmth and sparkle on this archtop.

Some other excellent features on this guitar include the black pearl "Blue Belly" headstock inlay, pink and white mother of pearl sparkplug headstock inlay, birseye maple headstock cap, ebony truss rod cover, dual action truss rod, medium jumbo frets and a super heavy duty flight case to protect this phenomenal guitar.
