In this tutorial, I show you how you can reduce the CPU usage/ underruns in caustic 3 or the clipping or crackling sound you get when you play your track and it has a lot of stuff in it. Follow the steps in the tutorial carefully and if it still has the same problem then close other programs and apps. If you are afraid of reducing the polyphony as it cuts off previous notes, just use this technique while making your tracks and again increase the polyphony before exporting your final song.
