The Effection was a power-pop trio from Oakland, California comprised of former members of such Bay Area acts as LIMP and DANCE HALL CRASHERS and Providence, Rhode Islands' pop-punk outfit, WATERDOG. THE EFFECTION (Billy, Scott and Chris) have produced a gem of a pop album. Sountrack To A Moment, their debut on Adeline Records, has its punk/indie roots firmly planted in the melodic songwriting tradition of groups like THE JAM, ELVIS COSTELLO & THE ATTRACTIONS, and THE FIGGS.
