Yair Avidor plays Daniel Bacheler's personal take on a famous galliard for lute by John Dowlnd (Earl of Essex Galliard).
The version used in this video is the one in the Lord Herbert of Cherbury Lute Book save for 4 bars a delightful 'tremolo' figure taken from the Cosens Lute Book (Cambridge University Library).
The instrument, made by Lars Jönsson is based on Magno Tieffenbrucker.
