DESCRIPTION:
"La Caracossa" and "Saltarello Io Son Fontina" performed by The Bacheler Consort at the 2012 LSA Summer Seminar & Lute Festival. Both pieces are taken from the book of lute trios collected by Giovanni Pacoloni and printed by Pierre Phalèse in 1564. La Caracossa is played with a cittern part added by Frederic Viaera in a separate collection also published in 1564. The Bacheler Consort consists of Christopher Morrongiello, soprano & tenor lutes and director; Matthew Weinmann, tenor lute; Diann Flanagan, bass lute; and Doc Rossi, cittern.
