The song is about the literal and also loose meaning of wondering if anybody is out there. Coming back from Korea, after meeting my biological family, I was stuck in a place where I was questioning a lot of things in my life. Not only did I question if there were others out there (adoptees) who have been in a similar situation or felt like I did, but also about other aspects of my life. Feeling alone and anxious all the time, I wondered if others (non-adoptees or adoptees), felt like I did. And God. Where did God play into my life and is there someone watching over me literally and influencing my direction. I still wonder all the time. Writing this song was therapeutic.
