DESCRIPTION:
Taking the Indian bass-scene by storm and bringing a fresh new sound, seeing never before used Indian percussion with dubstep, breaks and drum n bass to fuse together , a rich, melodic and aggressive sound that rips through sound systems.

Introducing to the world and the masses of India the MENTAL MARTIANS are Piyush Bhatnagar, Sarvesh Shrivastava and Tarang Singhal and with their brand of techno-analogue sound, you are guaranteed to be snared.

Influenced by the Nasha experience (London), Nucleya, Audio Dakoos, Rusko, Chase and status and various heavyweights from the international dub arena, their sound is a heady journey that defies genres and synthesizes the Asian underground to the dubstep in the UK.

Sarvesh who formed the band, corabrated with Piyush is dub aficionado with a penchant for Indian sounds and believes in broadening his horizons as he has from age 15 when he began his musical journey. Piyush on the other hand was an equally early starter at 16, as he dabbles in not only the dub arts but electro-house and IDM and has an international presence that completes these two as they cover DJing, production and technical support for the team. Their gigs in Mumbai and Jaipur and Dehli have garnered awesome levels of recognition for them.
Providing the live element to the band is their third member, Tarang Singhal, who began his musical tête-à-tête at a mere 8! and Plays the tabla, darbuka, Jembe, Bongo, Drums and other home made percussions that allow him to sample live sounds that create mayhem with the electronic deliciousness of the two.
Their sounds are magical and danceable at same time, a vivid journey into the unknown and the un-chartered, the sublime and the scintillating, promising to introduce a sound that is enjoyed by the masses and that is anthem-like and cerebral at the same.

What is BASS CAMP?

Founded in Feb, 2010, Bass Camp is a quarterly indoor festival / night promoting cutting edge electronic sounds like Drum n Bass, Dubstep & other Bass Heavy Genres.

The first and second edition of the festival took place in 3 cities: Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi. It was MASSIVE ! to say the least. With a collective turnout of over a 1000 people at each edition and a lineup which consisted of more than 10 local & international DJs / Acts, thefestival is one of the most successful underground festivals in the country.

Previous lineup consisted of DJs / acts like Bandish Projekt (Mumbai/Ahmadabad), Bay Beat Collective aka BBC (Mumbai), BASSFoundation (Delhi), DJ Uri (U.K), Vachan Chinnapa (Bangalore), DJ Nasha (B.R.E.E.D) & more.
