DESCRIPTION:
This is the second in the seriers of limited addition guitars inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of the period 1890-1915 which stressed simplicity of design and perfection of craftsmanship. In furniture it was Gustav Stickley, in architecture Frank Lloyd Wright, and decorative arts the Roycroft school. This is basically a 000 sized guitar with the neck joining the body at 12th fret. The back and sides are German white oak with and Engelmann spruce top, bold herringbone rosette, pyramid Stauffer bridge. Rosewood dovetail inlays along center back seam and small square insets on either side of the heel (decorative not structural). Solid headstock with gingko leaf border and C.F. Martin block letter logo all in gold pearl, low profile neck, ebony fretboard with gingko leaf position inlays n gold pearl, antique gold finish gears. Special case with dark brown leather exterior. Number 4 of 100 made. LIST PRICE NEW: $6500. This one is hardly used....
