A self-taught guitarist, Carlos Alomar began playing professionally by the age of sixteen. Alomar later worked for many years with David Bowie as one of his guitarists, as well as providing help in writing various songs. However, in 1980, Bowie and Carlos Alomar went their separate ways, and in 1988 Carlos Alomar released his first--and to date, only--solo New Age album named Dream Generator.
