With a Little Help From My Friends Cover by Andre Matov - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Andre Matov playing his Stratocaster with "Theo Dahlem ST- AM 01" guitar Pickups. I have created this set to meet Andre's demand on a touch sensitive pickup set. This one is voiced to give his guitar a classic woody tone with all the chime most players like but never seem to get on most stock pickups. It nicely reacts to even the slightest touch on the finger board. It is hand calibrated to meet this particular guitar and to meet Andre's demand on natural sustain and a perfectly balanced guitar tone for recording sessions and live gigs.
He plays the middle pickup position and also uses the middle PU together w. the bridge PU. He also cuts his tone w. the tone pot. at 7. The signal goes into his "Strymon Flint" reverb and from there straight into a 1975 Fender Vibrolux Reverb amplifier. It has 1 reconed Oxford speaker and one Emminence Alnico (Blue chassis) speaker inside. In this particular recording unlike on almost all of my recordings and on demand of the artist, the signal goes into a "Strymon Flint" reverb and then straight into a 1975 Fender Vibrolux Reverb amplifier.
Enjoy.

As a general side note:
In every recording, unless on special request of the demonstrating artist I record my pickup demonstration videos with the most real tone I can get. I use commonly known popular amplifiers with a clean tone as a benchmark. If a pickup passes i.e. a Fender Princeton Reverb or a Vibrolux Reverb amplifier, then it can go anywhere from there. If you listen to distorted, overdriven pickup demo, IMO you won't never really know how the pickup in question may sound like at a low volume level. However, although I focus on recording clean amplifier settings, overdriven sound demonstrations may come up once in a while.
Have fun.
