Human Nature Cover (John Mayer) w. "Theo Dahlem TE- AM 02" guitar Pickups - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Andre Matov playing his Fender Telecaster solely on the neck pickup of his "Theo Dahlem TE- AM 02" guitar pickup set. Note how powerful yet transparent this vintage voiced classic Telecaster style pickup sounds like. Its' output and clarity is perfectly balanced to accommodate the usually higher volume of the bridge pickup. In conjunction with the bridge pickup of this set it won't let you experience the commonly feared volume drop when switching between the neck and bridge pickup. Take a close listen and you get the idea on how you'll walk away with it if you had to play a whole gig just w. the neck PU. Try this on a regular stock or on any other competitor's neck pickup and you will know what I'm talking about.
I have created this set to meet Andre's demand on a touch sensitive Tele style pickup set. This one is voiced to give his guitar a classic woody tone with all the chime and less the ice pick. It nicely reacts to even the slightest touch on the finger board. It is hand calibrated to meet this particular guitar's tonal characteristics and to Andre's demand on natural sustain with just the right amount of compression. This "TE- AM 02" is a perfectly balanced guitar tone for recording sessions and for live gigs. In this particular recording unlike on almost all of my recordings and on demand of the artist, the signal goes into a "Strymon Flint" reverb and then straight into a 1975 Fender Vibrolux Reverb amplifier.

As a general side note:
In every recording, unless on special request of the demonstrating artist I record my pickup demonstration videos with the most real tone I can get. I use commonly known popular amplifiers with a clean tone as a benchmark. If a pickup passes i.e. a Fender Princeton Reverb or a Vibrolux Reverb amplifier, then it can go anywhere from there. If you listen to distorted, overdriven pickup demo, IMO you won't never really know how the pickup in question may sound like at a low volume level. However, although I focus on recording clean amplifier settings, overdriven sound demonstrations may come up once in a while.
Have fun.
