Peter Liu and the Pollcats performed "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone" as part of their vintage swing program at the 2016 Ottawa Jazz Festival. They were joined by many Lindy Hoppers, transforming the Rideau Centre into a swing dance hall!

Peter Liu and the Pollcats perform authentic vocal swing music in the style of the Golden Age of jazz of the 1930s and 1940’s, when attending swing dances was one of the most popular entertainment activities. This energetic combo has performed regularly for the Ottawa Swing Dance Society's "Live Band Fridays", and they have become one of the most popular bands in the thriving local swing dance scene. They have been invited to perform for many public and private swing dance events, and they are the winners of the Ottawa Swing Dance Society’s 2015 “Battle of the Bands”. Well known for his warm velvety voice, dynamic phrasing, and charismatic presence, Peter has emerged as one of the leading jazz vocalists in the National Capital Region. He is joined by outstanding Ottawa jazz musicians, who perform with creative playfulness and tight sound. Channelling the thrilling energy and irresistible groove of the swing era, Peter Liu and the Pollcats perform fresh interpretations of classic swing standards, inspiring excitement and joy in both listeners and dancers.
