Please turn on captions to see the lyrics! Translation notes after the disclaimer.

The song, lyrics, and cover are the property of aicle and NINE. The translation is mine and probably should not be reproduced anywhere, but if you really want to use it for something, please let me know and credit me fully.

If you see any errors, have any suggestions, or just want to chat about the song, please let me know! I'd love any sort of feedback.

Some notes:
Mochi (1:01) is a Japanese rice cake (but "rice cake" might be misleading because it's actually really dense and sticky). I found out from the always-awesome Meru-Meru that there's a legend about a "moon rabbit" said to be pounding mochi on the moon (because there are markings on the moon that supposedly look like a rabbit pounding mochi).

A back hip circle (1:27) is a gymnastics move where you pull yourself up and over the bar. (He's creatively saying that his fever rose.)

The pun at 2:27 is mine; it was accidental and only works in English.

2:42 is referring to a way of answering yes-or-no questions that I've really only seen in Japanese. On things like tests and paperwork (and in video games), "yes" is represented as a circle and "no" as an X. So in these lines, he's saying that since the Earth is a circle, it's answering "yes" to his question.

At 3:17, the kanji say "wakusei" ("planet") instead of "hoshi" ("star"). I think he always writes it like this.

Please let me know of any errors I might have made or if you'd like me to explain something more fully. I look forward to your feedback!
