DESCRIPTION:
Nov 12. 2010. The Showroom @ Hub-Bub.com in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Marshall and Jon step aside, while keyboardist Connor picks up the guitar as the four gather around a single mike for a softer acoustic manner as in early radio days doing Floyd Tillman's "Some Other World." The song is associated with Willie Nelson, in particular, who cited Tillman as a chief influence as a singer and songwriter. As an early champion of the electric guitar in honky-tonk pop, Tillman also was revered by early rock 'n' rollers, having influenced the playing styles of Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis.
