Writer Zarina Zabrisky spins the eclectic collection of tunes: from the underground rock music in the USSR to punk rock of East Germany to modern punk feminist protest art of Pussy Riot. A Russian-born American author, Zabrisky hung out at Leningrad "Rock Club" as a teen. It is with sorrow and disgust that Zabrisky discovered later that the "Rock Club" was founded and curated by the KGB... At the time of her conversation with Tony Du Shane she was oblivious to this mind-blowing fact.
