Interview with YOUNG SILENCE

I've seen these young artist on his shit for about a year now, after seeing him doin a show,recording & just gettin gettin high on these REAL kushy green lol.



Im in the studio with YOUNG SILENCE to get an interview right after a show at Club Voo'swar in Atlantic Beach, Florida



JAY - So where was you born & where you represent?

YOUNG SILENCE - I was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky but i moved to were I was born and raised Hudson, New York, when i was a couple months old and from there i moved to Jacksonville, Florida when i was 14



JAY - What was it like growing up in Hudson?

YOUNG SILENCE - Hudson is cool as hell real laid backMy city is a very diverse place, One second your in the hood one second your in the woods. Its kinda small but has that home feeling, I mean growin up was cool there but theres always the kids who hate on you because you skateboard or your the light skin dude who gets all da chics I mean its a small town so its real easy to get hated on fast.



JAY - And with that being stated how you get started rapping for the first time?

YOUNG SILENCE - I grew up very close to my family and when I was in the middle of 14 or 15 my parents got a divorce. It was a real hard time in my life I went from bein rich to bein broke, I went from being in the north to the south. I had nobody to talk to so i turned to poetry and figured why not try rappin.



JAY - I can also see you really started getting real bout your music, When did you really start making this a life ?

YOUNG SILENCE - I started making this my life when basketball in highschool went the wrong way.I started skipping school and smoking weed, I just felt like calling my own shots instead of being yelled at by a coachSo I lost a couple scholarships and turned to music full time.My dad always told me to find a job that i love 2 do and when i find that it wont be called a job ill just be gettn paid to have fun for the rest of my life so I choose music.



JAY - What kind of tracks do you prefer to make?

YOUNG SILENCE - It just depends on what my mood isIm a universal type of dude but i feel the most comfortable on fly club bangers.Ive been gettin fly my whole life.Ive always been about my clothes and women so i gotta keep it real and rap about what i know.



JAY - So i got your new single "WHAMMIN" tell the people what its all about & do you have anymore singles or mixtapes dropping soon?

YOUNG SILENCE - My first single is called "Whammin" its just about a loud car system. I got 2 12's in my car so one day I was like ima write a song about my trunk. My newest single is called " In My Playstation" the theme of it is the tattoos on my knuckles and were me and my friends get messed up at and what happens when I party. I got alot of singles. I try to make nothing but hits



JAY - When are you going to release your new album or mixtape?

YOUNG SILENCE - My next mixtape is called "The Playstation" that drops about this june. I dont think ill be droppin a album until i get signed to a major label because alot of people drop albums that have 2 good songs on it. I wanna make a album that you can let the whole thing play and really get what you paid for.



JAY - You have any ventures besides the music?

YOUNG SILENCE - Most definitely I have a cousin who does ufc fighting i want to open a gym and have him run it. Theres alot of things i want o venture of in. If i told you all of it we would be here all day haha.



JAY - Is there any up and coming artist from Jacksonville that we should watch out for?

YOUNG SILENCE - Yea of course Fire Squad Family, Phil Bank$, TBZ Ent, The Hometown Heroes , Chillz, alot more people i just cant remember excuse the kush haha



JAY - I know dats right lmao, Is there any shoutouts?

YOUNG SILENCE - Yezzur everybody doin what they want and the way they want 2. Being differant and not following anybody else and of course my family Fire Squad.
