Hailing from South Korea, the singer and composer Song Yi Jeon combines modern jazz harmony and odd time signatures with singable melodies that catch the ear of the listener. Heavily influenced by Korean folklore, the refined compositions of Song Yi Jeon have clear musical direction that still allow band members to show their virtuosity. The members of her quintet come from all over the world and play together on a regular basis.
