Youngaflex began his journey in the music industry at the young age of 10. He first took an interest in music when he saw his older brother and friends mixing. He was always watching them and trying to understand how to compile two tunes together and make it sound like it was one.

Eventually he learnt slowly how to mix and started his own record collection. His first love has always been reggae and ragga (dancehall). Due to his mother always playing artists such as Sanchez, Dennis Brown, Buja Banton etc. He also plays R n B, Hip Hop and Garage.

At the age of 12 he formed his own sound called 2 deeep Crew. A group of friends who he grew up with. The 2 deep Crew went their seperate ways due to creative differences but Youngaflex persued his own dream. He began doing his own radio slots and features on various pirate radio stations such as Supreme FM, Deja Vu, Platinum FM and many more.

At the age of 14 Youngaflex applied to do work experience at Choice FM, during this time he met DJ Natty B who would let him sit in the studio and see how his radio show is put together. DJ Natty B could see that Youngaflex was very interested in this field. Youngaflex told Natty his skills and Natty gave him a chance to mix live on his radio show (107.1 & 96.9 FM, Choice FM). He liked his style and took him on as his appentrice this involved a lot of clubs such as Stratford Recs, Mass, Brixton Rec, Cesears, Palace Pavillion and many more, which was a lot of work.

Till this day he still does mixes for Natty and clubs at the age of 16, Natty B introduced Youngaflex to his son Maxwell D. Maxwell took a liking to Youngaflex and took him to do radio shows and clubs with him around the UK. Youngaflex has always kept close contact with Maxwell D and is now a part of his record label Musketear's Recordings. He has been a member since the age of 17. During this time he has seen a lot of artists in the music game such as Beenie Man, Sean Paul, Wayne Wonder, Ms Dynamite and many more. Youngaflex has also put Maxwell D's mix CD together - Misunderstood (Out now in HMV and all good record stores).

Due to the love that Youngflex gets from his listeners on radio he has started work on his own mix CD. You can expect to see big things from Youngaflex in the future so look out for him. If you would like to book him to DJ at a club or party you can contact him on
