PUBLISHED:  Mar 21, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
In this video, the Dalaï Lama is asked to clarify a few points regarding the recognition of Osel as being the reencarnation of Lama Thubten Yeshe.
Dharamsala March 1987.
Two years before his death, Lama Yeshe accompanied the Dalaï Lama to visit Oseling, the retreat center in south Spain. It is on this occasion (1982) that His Holiness gave its name to the center. Textually Osel-Ling means "Place of Clear Light", it refers to the state of consciousness one goes through at the time of death or in very deep meditation. The real Place of Clear Light is only to be found within oneself and the "raison d'être" of the retreat center is to help those who come for retreat to experience it through meditation.
When Osel was born, his father who was fully involved in the creation of the center, gave him that same name.
The video is available with subtitles in english, spanish. Other translations are wellcomed.
