THE YEP YEP STORY

YEP YEP RECORDS was first brought to light in june 2005 by 2 aspiring dj/mc/producers looking to forward their interests and hard work into an already growing and progressing bassline scene

Kevlar & Mr Stu had worked together as dj and host for about a year after friendship from an early age and felt now was the time to push their ideas and skills to the next level by introducing birminghams newest label into the world of bassline.

The 1st release Yep Yep 001 contained tracks from Dj Kevlar "How Can I Love You More" & Walking On Def-Jam" was released on promo test press in december 2005 and reached its full release in february 2006 with continued sales stil to date, going on to be one of the most succesful tracks on the label to date. Both tracks were played to death in and around the bassline scene and stil work any dance floor today.

It was jus before the full release of this track that the 2 running the label parted ways over circumstances out of the scene and each wnet there own ways within bassline leavin the label to the producing half of the duo. from then yep yep became a solo journey!!!!!!

After the 1st release the label has continued to move from strength to strength having further releases from Kevlar on Yep Yep 002 "Unbreak My Heart" b4 signing their first outer artists on Yep Yep 003 Kevlar - "I wish" With mixes from Dj Kucia & Solo effort from Dj Law with "More Time"

Since these early days Yep Yep Records has now progressed even further seeing original vocalists such as Platnum, Lauryn, Hannah, Lou Flava + many more joining the label and working with the artists now signed, as well as the still progressing and growing front partnerhsip to the Yep Yep journey with Kevlar & J-Tay forefronting the majority of new releases

Yep Yep Records has had 8 releases to date and is still continuing to improve its growing reputation within the bassline scene. Over the coming months all at Yep Yep will be striving to continue the growth and expertise of the label/// bigger & better things well into 2008!!!!!!!!!!!



With the continued success of Yep Yep it was only a Matter of time before a sister label was sprung which has now had a succesful launch & 4 releases to date, the new label fo which being.TWARON BEATS (myspace soon to come with details on releases)



2006 & 2007 has seen Yep Yep travel to Ibiza, Costa Del Sol & the USA, as well as cities throughout the United Kingdom such as Leeds & Bradford
