Yana started her carriere beginnig of the 90s. After a classical music education in piano, bass-guitar, double-bass, lead-guitar and drums, and also in composition and arrangement, she got in contact with the Omen in Frankfurt/Main, the legendary Sven Väth club. Influenced by this deep pumpin' psychedelic acid like techno, she decided to start with her brothers to set up their first studio.
After having spent some time in London together with people like Nils Hess (Get Fucked), Marco Lenzi, and Alex Silverfish, she got deeper into the UK sound.She and her brothers belong to those pioneers who established drum & bass in germany.
Today, she is one of Germany's leading female electronic music producers. Not only has she produced for artists like Gayle San, but also did she write music for several TV shows, commercials, and independent short movies. Remixes for Jam and Spoon , Kool and the Gang, Nas, Big Punischer, KRS-One and many other international artists can be found in her discography.
Her productions were in the playlist of Hernan Cattaneo (top 10 Mixmag worldwide dj charts), Brett King (Proton Radio), Naveen G (New York City), Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Väth, and many other big names.
Her dj sets and live PAs have not only been a great success all over Germany, but also in Greece, (Thessaloniki/Venue, Boutique), Egypt (Sham El Sheik/Bus Stop, Cairo, Latex), and many other places around the Mediterranean. She is part of NK Harris' booking agency Plus Thirty in Greece. Her style can be described as storytelling, emotional, electronic dance music always in progress.
Four years ago, she and her brother M.M.M established the monthly clubnite UnterUns (unteruns.us) which has turned out as one of the major house and techno events in the Rhein-Neckar-Triangle. In 2004 they started their own digital label lifetime-records and more than 29 EPs have been released since then.
Last year they have released with their project bassdriver unit, one of their live sets on Zyx-Music (progressive 4/top10053-2).The project HD 69 (Yana Heinstein and Christian Weber) is part of Weave Music, Frankfurt/Main. Their 12 debut single Smagged Out was a big international success and has supported her reputation of being one of the top producers in the European house and techno scene.
Yana has started to pass her experience on to younger talents and supports them with her talent scout agency. at the moment she it working hard on pushing her label lifetime-records and her tv produktion company lifetime-tv-produktion. soon her new dokumentation about the time warp festival will be out soon. comin along with interviews with carl cox, loco dice, ricardo vilalobos, dead beat and many great party shots .tour de france and tour easteurope comin soon . .
