Yamit is known for her powerful vocals and sensitive acoustic soul, playing her self-penned soul music to audiences across the UK; a true romantic with influences as varied as Freddie Mercury to Lamb and Idan Raichel to Chris Cornell.
Having performed her music at venues such as indigo2, The Jazz Caf and Glastonbury Festival, she has also opened the BBC Proms in Trafalgar Square.

Yamit sung the title track on the film Death at a Funeral; and also on Doctor Who, both on screen alongside Kylie Minogue in the Christmas Special, and on the Series 3 Soundtrack. Yamit could also be heard singing ‘My Angel Put The Devil in Me’ during David Tennant’s final episode on New Years Day 2010.

The Yamit Mamo EP, a six-track sampler of Yamit's ability, was released in 2006 and has been purchased online in over 25 countries across the globe. Yamit is currently recording her debut album at AIR Studios in London. The album features tracks co-written alongside some of the finest UK writers including Peter-John Vettesse, Anna Krantz and Judie Tzuke.
This culmination of years worth of life experiences, singing, and writing music will be produced by Yamit alongside Olga Fitzroy (AIR, Strongroom) and Jake Newman.
