I met bassist Ari Roland in February 2005, shorty after moving to New York.
Soon after, he became the bass player in my quartet.
Since then we have been playing duo in many different occasions; both recorded and live.

Yaala Ballin +1 presents an intimate dialogue between voice and bass.
The songs we chose to record, are some of our favorites.
I believe they can touch everybody's heart.
Ari's bass-lines are unique in his harmonic approach, giving a supportive accompaniment while being creative and communicative.
