X:144

Hip hop's contemporary depiction of a young Herbie Hancock whose skills go beyond the mere ability to be an emcee. Instrumentalist who has mastered the art of listening, X:144 is the production mastermind behind some of hip hop veterans and up and coming artists. He is the creator of his production company Beats•Rhymes•Films™, and is one of the founding forefathers of the term Ozone; a title adopted by the Hip-Hop culture as a moniker for the city of Orlando, Florida.

His body of work enlists artists such as Kool G Rap, Mars Ill, MF Doom, Joel Ortiz, Saigon, Qusai, Psyche Origami, Nino Bless, and Solillaquists of Sound. In 2005 X:144 and DJ SPS teamed up to fashion a new sound while incorporating the sounds reminiscent of his youth. He emceed, produced, and mixed their debut album M.E. on Nonsense Records. X:144 has been awarded Hip-Hop Artist of the Year in Orlando Weekly, Bangin' Beats Producer Champ, Two-Time Lounge Battles Producer Champion, and is the 1st Scribble Jam Producer Battle Champion ever. Currently he is working on his upcoming solo album while venturing in to the world of video/movie directing. The level proficiency in his arsenal of talents is something that the renaissance artists of today should take note from.

DJ SPS

Hawaiian-born, German-bred DJ SPS took the world of turntablism & battling by storm in 2006, when he won the Universal Zulu Nation World Championship title. Inquiring minds should take note that before SPS smashed his competitors on a global level, this flourishing battle DJ & producer got his start on the city streets of Berlin, where he first discovered his love for music, long before the wall ever came down.

As an army brat growing up overseas, this turntable phenom's influences covered a huge spectrum of genres. It could have been the intense energy in Berlin at the time or his ever-changing geographic location, but even then, he was heavily drawn to the fat bass lines, hard-hitting drums and scratching in hip hop, as well as the frantic & electrifying energy of electronic music. It was his passion for these styles that would drive him to become a DJ.

Upon returning to the U.S. with an arsenal of ideas & a new found passion for the art of turntablism, SPS flooded the Florida music scene & captured titles with a vengeance for over three years. Wowing audiences across the nation with his unique hip hop and funk sets, his turntable style & skills garnered him an invitation to join the acclaimed 1200 Hobo's DJ crew, as well as the Faderballistics battle crew.

SPS continued to dominate the turntable scene and teamed up with fellow MC/Producer X:144 to produce the nationally released LP, "M.E." on indie label, Nonsense Records in 2006. The fruits of his labor paid off, when the duo earned a spot on the 40-city "Quit Your Dead End Job" Tour alongside Anti-/Epitaph recording artists, The Sol.illaquists of Sound with Glue and Prolyphic.

Earlier this year, SPS was crowned the USA DMC Supremacy Champion and was subsequently flown overseas to represent the States in London at the DMC World Battle, where he wrecked house and made it all the way to the semi-finals! With numerous credits to his name & titles that span over a decade, one might conclude there's not much else for him to conquer. But watch out world! You've only caught a glimpse of what DJ SPS has to offer and he's taking no prisoners, so stay tuned!
