DESCRIPTION:
Drum Cam footage during a performance with the band Piece Of Mind, a Denver Colorado Iron Maiden tribute Band. I've always been a huge Maiden fan as well as a huge fan of Clive Burr and Nicko McBrain so when these guys were looking for a drummer I was like, hell ya!

We are just starting to play shows so I am getting the hang of the drums again and getting my chops together. I am also big vintage Sonor and vintage Paiste fan. Anyone into Nicko may be interested in the equipment info below. Beware, only for equipment geeks.

This show was at the Toad Tavern in Littleton Colorado 2013.08.24. We had a 2 hour set and the booze was flowing on the front of the stage so my bandmates were definatelly playing with a bit of a handycap. No booze or excuseses for me, just a long ass set.

I am using a white Sonor Phonic Plus kit configured as Nicko did on the Piece Of Mind World Piece Tour. The main difference is I have adapted the hardware onto a custom cage in order to get the drums set up in 10 minutes, the target time allotted for most small clubs for a changeover. It is divided into three sections that bolt together with two connections. I also made a couple cymbal tweaks and I prefer my D508 over the ludwig he used. All the mics are pre mounted and cable bundles snap together so the whole thing is really fast, You just need a big truck to move it and someone crazy enough to think it would be a good idea to help!

currently using a coated ambassador on the snare and Evans Emad with no ring on the batter side of the bass drum and a remo ported head on the resonant side, no other dampening. DW 9000 hard side of the beater.
