'One of the best unsigned bands in Britain' – Steve Lamacq – 6Music
British Rock n Roll is back with vengeance! Following in the footsteps of the nations greats and jumping into their shoes from a great height come high energy UK 5-piece The Wutars with their brand new EP containing five all new tracks synonymous with their full on live shows, and to which their dedicated army of fans can blame as the prime cause of voice loss and saw-headed mornings following a typical Wutarshow.
It's songs such as 'Sea Monkey', 'Gamla Stan' and 'Waste My Days Away' (all of which feature on the EP) that perfectly demonstrate this band's knack of churning out effortlessly spiraling sing-a-long gems - gems which are quick to remind you of this country's enviable rock n roll heritage, and gems which will also ensure that The Wutars will be a band you won't want to forget about in a hurry.

Their growing reputation in London has in turn led to some very exciting moments for the band. In 2010, after catching the tail end of a show at London's Lexington, Steve Lamacq at BBC 6 Music featured the band on his show, introducing them as one of the best unsigned bands in
Britain. Regular headlining slots at Alan 'Oasis' McGee's legendary DeathDisco, and some high-profile support appearances for the likes of The Divine Comedy and Billy Bragg have helped the Wu's spread their message amongst gig-goers and industry professionals alike.

The band have also enjoyed the patronage and support of The Word Magazine, the Daily Mirror, Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols, The Faces), Andy Partridge (XTC), Thomas Walsh (Duckworth Lewis Method/Pugwash), Spizz Energi, and Phill Jupitus over recent months.

The Wutars will release the mystically titled, hotly anticipated EP2, through Very Decent Music and Tri-Tone/PIAS UK 4th July.
