Egypt formed in 2003 in Fargo, ND. We recorded a demo in our practice spot for the sake of getting some out of town shows and it grew a cult following. It was released on vinyl by Lyderhorn Records in 2008 and was limited 500 copies (sold out). We then signed on with Meteorcity Records to release the demo on CD in 2009. The original band broke up in 2005. We have reformed with a new guitar player, Neal Stein, and have completed work on a new record entitled "Become the Sun." We are hoping for a 2012 release date.
