Our Family Music Tradition goes back, far as we can trace, from our Ancient African Roots. The Family Tree is Broad and Strong, with the Great
Solomon Womack, Founder of The Swan Silvertones; The Womack Bros.
(4 Generations), up to the Fourth and Last Group of Brothers, which included
Zekkariyas (then, Cecil) who is the youngest, Harry, Bobby, Curtis,
and Friendly.
Sam Cooke took the helm within the Legendary Soul Stirrers
while still in his late teens, then moved into the Popular Music Arena and
formed the original SAR Records, with his trusted partners, J.W. Alexander
and S.R. Crain, in the early 1950's. SAR Records Artiste List included
the Legends: The Womack Bros. (aka The Valentinos) (whose Million-Selling
Composition "It's All Over Now" paved the way for the Rolling Stones, first
recording success); Johnny Taylor ; Lou Rawls ; Mel Carter ; & Billy Preston.
Our Family Tree Includes Many Founding Figures within the Popular Music World: Mary Wells, Bobby Womack, & Don Cornelius (founder of SOUL Train and the SOUL Train Music Awards).
Our Sons and Daughters Continue this Tradition in their Contributions to
this Music Scene of the 21st Century. Strong in that Army of New
Soldiers is Meech Wells (our Son) Producer for Snoop Dog, Shaq, and
Queen Latifah; Shorty Womack ; Stacy Henderson ; Nicole Johnson.

Zekkariyas has been a renowned guitarist - since the age of 4 dubbed a child prodigy - and has set the tones for so many fine musicians since his early work with his brothers, S.C., and in penning the Legendary, "Breezin'", with brother, Bobby - which was recorded by Gabor Zabo and made
World Famous by George Benson.
