Wolfen Society

The new millennium

witnessed the birth of a musical war machine, in the form of WOLFEN SOCIETY.

This Occultic Misanthropic Metal band was put together in late 2000. The band

would feature members of ACHERON, INCANTATION, DARK FUNERAL and THE ELECTRIC

HELLFIRE CLUB. A great mixture of styles. WOLFEN SOCIETY would have an

Old-School Death Metal sound, with a modern influence.

Where did the name

WOLFEN SOCIETY derive from? The Wolfen Society were said to be an underground

group of extremists which lived by the ways of Might is Right. They were also

said to practice the Black Arts and be mortal foes to all White Light religions.

A group shrouded in secrecy. What a perfect name for this circle of tyrants!



WOLFEN SOCIETY

consisted of Vincent Crowley (Vocals/Bass), Kyle Severn (Drums), Lord Ahriman

(Rhythm Guitar), Ricktor Ravensbruck (Lead Guitar) and Thomas Thorn

(Keyboards/Samples/Vocals). In 2001, they went into THORNAPPLE STUDIOS in

Columbus, Ohio, and recorded their debut mini-cd Conquer Divine. But due to

some serious problems in the studio, the band had to re-record the mcd with

Tommy Tagtgren from ABYSS STUDIOS in Sweden. Tagtgren saved the recording and

invoked a monster!

The Conquer

Divine mcd featured the songs Conquer Divine, Blood Oath, Life is War and a

cover of the classic misanthropy song Race War by the band CARNIVORE. It was

then released on HOUSE OF DEATH RECORDS (usa) and NO FASHION (Europe). The band

received many positive reviews, but not a lot of support or backing from their

labels. This release would remain in the underground.

Soon after the

release, Thomas Thorn and Ricktor Ravensbruck left the band. It was a big

disappointment to the other members. But within a year, Ravensbruck returned to

the lycanthropic cult of terrror.

Even though there

have been many positive things said about WOLFEN SOCIETY, there has also been

some negative controversy. Some people have claimed that the band are National

Socialists and racists. Let it be known that WOLFEN SOCIETY is in no way a

Political band! The only kind of racists these guys would be are Human

Racists! They practice the ideals of Misanthropy, not Nazism. In the words of

WOLFEN SOCIETYFUCK EVERYONE! PURE FUCKING HATRED!

Members in the

WOLFEN SOCIETY got caught up with the duties of their other bands and ended up

taking a very long break. In 2004, the band got back in contact with each other

and decided a new game plan. The band will start writing all new material for

their next album Misanthropic Race. This album will be written as a team,

unlike their first mcd, which Vincent Crowley did most of the song writing. The

Conquer Divine mcd was just a small sample to hear what these guys could do

together. The next album will be much like a bunch of mad scientists combining

their insane ideas to create an incurable strain of disease to bring the world

to its knees! Watch out, WOLFEN SOCIETY is not done! Hail Hatred!
