Snake River (a Bugbrand Modular Weevil waltz) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 11, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
This is another recording of the first patch I made with my dual Bugrand Syn1 Weevil modular instrument (see 'Joyride' for the first take...). It shows some of the ancestors of the modular Syn1 Weevil (such as the awesome Weevil Knievel, which is the light blue colored box that appears first, and the Mecha Weevil which is a darker blue colored box that Evel Knievel, namesake of the Weevil Knievel, morphs into in the portion of the video he's sitting in the crane-chair with the Snake River Canyon in the background).

Video synthesis was performed without having to patch anything from the audio synthesizer to the video synthesizer by using the LZX audio frequency decoder module (and other LZX modules). There are also 3 Video Waveform Generators, Video Ramps, Colorspace Mapper, Triple Video Fader / Key-Generator (being keyed by 3 of the outputs from the Video Ramps, resulting in the solid band in the middle of the screen), Video Sync Generator and Color Video Encoder modules involved in the video patch for the snakey undulating blue background (with what i intended to look like the dr who tardis floating in the middle, i suppose) that I crossfade into and out of throughout the video.

Enjoy!
