Two weeks after being hospitalized for severe seizures, Lil Wayne has finally spoken out about the life-threatening incident.

The rapper called in to LA's Power 106 and told DJ Felli Fel:
"The bad news is I'm an epileptic. I'm prone to seizures. This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures, ya'll just never hear about them. But this time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious."

A lot of people did think Wayne was on his deathbed, especially when TMZ reported that he had been given his last rites. That story turned out to be false, which led to some major backlash against the site. Wayne, however, doesn't hold a grudge, saying:
"I can't be upset at TMZ for doing what they do. They gon' probably come out tomorrow and say something else about somebody else that ain't true. That's what they do. The truth isn't good enough for them, so they gotta twist everything up."

As for the speculation from some media outlets that the seizures were brought on by drinking too much Sizzurp, Weezy had a much less scandalous explanation:
"The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself. That's just typical me though."

Fortunately things have been looking up for Wayne lately. His new album "I Am Not a Human Being II" came out on Tuesday, and it's set to sell around 200,000 copies in its first week. He also announced that he'll be heading out on the America's Most Wanted Tour this summer, along with T.I. and Future. And he seems to drop a new music video - either his own or as a guest on another artist - at least once a week.

We're glad that Weezy's on the road to recovery. But if stress and overwork leads to his seizures, maybe he needs to slow things down. Go a vacation! Take the kids to Disneyland. Or Nebraska. The good life. ...you can stay with my mom. She makes some mean chicken chili.

Is Weezy working himself too hard? Where do you think he should go on vacation?
