WINSTON TONG - The Quotidian (1985) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 30, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
One of the less heralded tracks from ex-Tuxedomooner Tong's solo album Theoretically Chinese, which featured a stellar supporting cast includng Dave Formula (keys), Stephen Morris (drums), Jah Wobble (bass), and produced by Alan Rankine of The Associates.

This is driven by a fantastic lilting groove, with ingenious infill tweaking and of course Tong's unforgettable voice. On one Nine Inch Nails tour several years ago, the venue sound systems would pump out this track almost before NIN had left the stage, which I took to be a pretty transparent endorsement by Trent Reznor.

The LTM cd reissue features essential extra tracks from his project with Niki Mono. Find their Live in Japan recording at Saltyka's blog: http://saltyka.blogspot.com/2007/12/tuxedomoon-part-4-winston-tong.html
