DESCRIPTION: The Wild Sarachs performing Kenneth Campbell Gilchrist's "Harbour Wall" at the 2009 Mull of Kintyre Music Festival. Although Kenny revelled in his role as a Campbeltown Man, he was also fiercely proud of his maternal roots in Waterfoot, a strong Campbell enclave in the fishing village of Carradale. "Harbour Wall" was written in memory of his Campbell grandparents and the song is based on the notion that when a fisherman pre-deceases his true love, he waits behind the harbour wall until her passing and then they both sail off together to the after-life. Following his untimely death in 2008, family and friends established The Kintyre Songwriters' Festival in his memory. Further information can be found at www.kintyresongwritersfestival.co.uk
