WHY SHE KILLS

2008 a.d. marks the beginning of a new era for WHY SHE KILLS. The – one of a kind – Dutch extreme metal outfit was founded in 2006 by four ex Genetic Wisdom members. The addition of 2 female singers completed the line up and the band released their debut EP 'Of Hope and Suffocation' in the fall of 2006. The band took it to the stage and decided to temporarily cut the power after three shows. This needed more developing and work. The girls Imke de Kuiper and Janneke de Rooy were dismissed. Musical and personal differences got in the way and
WSK did need to move on the path of annihilation anyway.
Eventually the band found two new women strong and good enough to front WHY SHE KILLS. Anita Borst (ex-BelleGunness, Izegrim) growls like there's no tomorrow simply degrading the competition. Death metal deluxe! Daan delivers powerfull atmosperic vocals which transcend from the heavens and will pull you into a sinister world far below. Ronny (drums), Gerrit (bass) and guitarists Peter and Ralph were locked away to create some new improved WSK monstersongs and take metal we're it's never gone before.

Now, June 2008, it is time to unleash 'Daydreams of Obliteration' upon the world. The inspiration and the input of the new killer girls results in four extreme metal tracks in more than one way. From brutality beyond control and death metal supreme ('You Wish'), to the epic harmonics that throw the listener from one corner into another ('Submission') just before you're slammed back into your seat to take a 'Jefferson Airplane trip' as you get hypnotized ('One Night One Lifetime'). The title track 'Daydreams of Obliteration' honours thrash metal riffing as it should be.
